Beginning and advanced piano students in Mrs. Josey’s classes had the unique opportunity to work with award-winning film composer Michael Josephs during second semester 2007. Mr. Josephs began the project with a classroom presentation on the process of how to compose music for film. Students chose one of three film clips and used music software and the synthesizers in the piano lab to create music for the clip of their choice with the guidance of Mr. Josephs during his class visits. A presentation of the completed film clips will be given in the auditorium on March 26th. The projects will also be available for viewing during the annual Blair Fair in April.
This project was made possible by a scholarship from the Wolf Trap Education Foundation Program.
